Would you like to get even more out of TransparentShare and prefer to see all 15 tips step by step in the video?
Then watch the full YouTube video. There we show you all the tips in a concise, easy-to-understand, and directly applicable way. Ideal if you're new to TransparentShare or want a quick overview.
Tip 1: When to buy or sell?
A stock's rating is based on 12 key metrics, each receiving a score of +1, 0, or -1. Large companies are considered buys with a score of +4 or higher, while small and medium-sized companies are considered buys with a score of +6 or higher. If the rating falls below 0, the stock is recommended as a sell. If the score is in between, the recommendation is to wait and see.
Tip 2: How to deal with multiple purchase recommendations?
In the history, you can see when a stock was previously recommended. If it receives a buy recommendation again, it's a confirmation that it was a good recommendation in the past. You can ignore the new recommendation or perhaps even buy more. It depends on your personal strategy. Note when the stock for the first time was recommended for purchase. You can find the date in the daily email.
Tip 3: Activate daily email and don't miss any recommendations
In your settings, activate the "I would like to receive stock recommendations via email" checkbox. This way, you'll automatically receive all new buy and sell signals directly in your inbox every morning. If you don't receive an email one day, it simply means there were no new recommendations. They are always sent in the morning after the stock market closes the previous day. The last email of the week is sent Saturday morning (for Friday's review). There is no email on Mondays, as the next email is sent on Tuesday morning for Monday's review.
Tip 4: Discover unknown stocks
In the daily email, you'll often discover stocks you're not familiar with. Simply click on the stock name to see the rating. Then select "Details" and then “View company profile”There you'll find a brief and concise overview of what the company does – ideal for getting to know new companies.
Tip 5: Don’t buy stocks too expensively
The Distance to the annual high Shows how far the current price is below the high of the last 12 months. A stock is only recommended if it is trading at least 10% below the year's high. This way, you avoid entering too expensively. If you don't want to use the distance criterion, you can deactivate it in the settings.
Tip 6: Keep an eye on your portfolio
Under “My shares” you can immediately see which stocks you should hold or sell. The new Sorting function helps you organize your portfolio according to various criteria – so you can keep track of everything.
Tip 7: Better display multiple purchases
If you've bought a stock multiple times, create a separate entry for each purchase. This way, you can see the development of each position and accurately track your performance.
Tip 8: Don’t panic sell
A sell signal is not mandatory, but a recommendation. If you are convinced of a company and its positive development, you can hold onto the stock. It is always your decision whether to sell or not. TransparentShare only provides you with recommendations. Wait one or two days to see if the signal is confirmed. Short-term fluctuations are completely normal.
Tip 9: Industry comparison in the watchlist
Compare companies from the same industry directly with each other. To do this, add multiple stocks to your Watchlist Add companies like BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, or Tesla. This way, you can see at a glance which company is currently performing better. Of course, you can also add any other stocks you want to monitor to your watchlist.
Tip 10: Discover exciting German small cap stocks
TransparentShare also evaluates many small German companies—a truly unique selling point. The data is sourced from boersengefluester.de, the specialist for small and medium-sized companies. Simply filter by MDAX, SDAX, CDAX, or SCALE to find interesting mid-caps.
Tip 11: Discover high-dividend stocks at a glance
TransparentShare shows you not only the rating, but also the dividend yieldThis way, you can find stocks that combine stable dividends with solid valuations – ideal for long-term investors.
Tip 12: Be careful with extremely high dividends
If a dividend sounds too good to be true, you should check whether it is Special effects or attractive offers More importantly, the company also reinvests profits to achieve sustainable growth. There's a dedicated video on our YouTube channel about this: Beware of high dividend yields
Tip 13: The expert tip – recognize developments earlier
Pay attention to stocks that outperform the overall market after releasing their quarterly results. Analysts often revise their earnings estimates upward afterward. This can lead to an improvement in the ratings for "Expected Earnings Growth" and "Change in Earnings Estimate" with a slight time lag. A neutrally rated stock can quickly become a buy recommendation.
