Video featuring the 5 top dividend stocks in Germany for 2026

In our accompanying video, we present all five dividend stocks in a concise format. You'll get a quick overview of their performance in 2025, the outlook for 2026, and their current valuation on TransparentShare.

Stable dividend stocks from the DAX for 2026

The first three stocks are from the DAX and are considered classic, safe dividend stocks. They benefit from established business models, high cash flows, and a dividend strategy that many investors have valued for years.

DHL Group: Reliable dividend policy and stable cash flows

The DHL Group looks back on a stable operational year in 2025. Despite a challenging global logistics environment, the Group benefited from consistent cost discipline and stable cash flows in its core business.

DHL is known for its very reliable dividend policy. A dividend has been paid every year since 2008. In many years, it has been increased, and in more challenging periods, it has at least been maintained. Analysts expect a dividend of €1.85 per share for the 2025 financial year. This currently corresponds to a dividend yield of approximately 3.8 percent.

The outlook for 2026 remains positive. DHL continues to focus on efficiency, growth in selected segments, and stable free cash flows. Investments include artificial intelligence, robotics, and the expansion of its Packstation network. DHL currently has a TransparentShare score of 6 points, near its yearly high.

Daimler Truck: A cyclical dividend stock with a focus on margins

2025 was a mixed year for Daimler Truck. While business in Europe and other regions developed solidly, the important North American market cooled significantly. The commercial vehicle business is cyclical and reacts strongly to economic conditions and order intake. Nevertheless, Daimler Truck remains clearly focused on margin and cash flow.

The company pursues a shareholder-friendly dividend policy that is earnings-oriented while also aiming for stability. The dividend yield is approximately 3.8 percent. The stock has only been traded since the end of 2021, which is why there is no long dividend history yet.

For 2026, it will be crucial whether demand picks up again and how well cost-cutting programs and the high-margin service business perform. TransparentShare rates the stock at 4 points. The current recommendation for investors who already hold this stock is to hold.

Allianz: Exceptionally reliable dividend history

Allianz recorded very strong business performance in 2025. Due to lower major losses and growth in all lines of business, the annual forecast was raised in November. The insurance business delivers predictable returns, which is reflected in stable dividends in the long term.

Allianz boasts an exceptionally reliable dividend history. Since 2009, the dividend has been increased or at least maintained every year. Even in the pandemic year of 2020, the payout remained unchanged. For the 2024 financial year, the dividend was €15.40. Analysts expect a stable or slightly increasing dividend for 2025. The current dividend yield is around 4 percent.

TransparentShare currently rates Allianz stock at 3 points. A rating of 4 points or higher triggers a buy recommendation. Allianz is therefore a classic candidate for monitoring.

Attractive small-cap stocks with higher dividend yields

In addition to the stable blue-chip stocks, we have selected two German small-cap stocks. These offer a higher dividend yield but are often accompanied by greater price fluctuations. For many investors, such stocks can be a worthwhile addition if the risk profile is carefully considered.

Sixt preferred shares: High dividend with increased volatility

Mobility service provider Sixt continued its growth trajectory in 2025. The business is profitable, but significantly more volatile than traditional dividend stocks. Sixt pursues a flexible dividend policy. In strong years, a large payout is made, while in weaker years the dividend may decrease.

Analysts expect a dividend of between €3.30 and €3.90 per share for the 2025 financial year. This corresponds to a dividend yield of between 5.9 and 6.3 percent. TransparentShare currently assigns the stock a rating of 4 points. A rating of 6 points or higher would indicate a buy recommendation.

freenet: Highest dividend yield among the five stocks

The digital lifestyle group freenet continued its successful development in 2025. Its business model as a mobile service provider and digital TV provider proved to be robust and generated strong cash flow. Recurring revenues provide an excellent basis for regular dividend payments.

freenet is a reliable dividend payer. Apart from the COVID-19 pandemic, the dividend has been continuously increased since 2021. The current dividend yield is around 6.7 percent. TransparentShare rates freenet with 6 points. The stock is trading around 21 percent below its 52-week high and is currently a clear buy recommendation.

High dividend yields: opportunity or warning sign?

An important note for all dividend investors: A very high dividend yield is not automatically a positive sign. Often, it is due to one-off special effects or a warning signal, for example, if the share price has fallen sharply or the payout is not covered by cash flow.

Therefore, it is crucial to always consider dividends in the context of the business model, cash flows, and long-term strategy. This is precisely where an objective valuation is helpful.

Conclusion: These dividend stocks offer stability and returns in 2026

These five dividend stocks in Germany for 2026 cover different risk profiles. DHL Group, Daimler Truck, and Allianz stand for stability and reliable payouts. Sixt preferred shares and freenet offer higher dividend yields but are also more volatile.

If you want to collect dividends without losing sleep over them, you should pay particular attention to stable cash flows, a transparent dividend policy, and a realistic valuation. TransparentShare was developed precisely for this purpose.
