Blank screen in TransparentShare: Clear browser cache and quickly fix the problem

You open TransparentShare, want to check your stock valuations, and see: nothing. A white or blank screen, no data, no response. Frustrating, no doubt. The good news: In most cases, it's due to the browser cache, and that can be fixed in two minutes. Here's exactly what to do.

Why an outdated browser cache is blocking TransparentShare

The browser cache is like a short-term memory for your browser. It stores parts of a website locally on your device so that it loads faster the next time you visit. Sounds useful, and it is. Until a website is updated.

Imagine you have a 2020 street map in your glove compartment. The city has built new roads since then. Your GPS knows the new routes, but the old map doesn't show them. That's exactly what happens in your browser: it loads outdated files from the cache instead of the latest version of TransparentShare.

When our developers roll out updates, it's possible that old cache data might conflict with the new content. This can result in a blank or white screen. Our developers are already working on a permanent fix for this issue. Until then, manually clearing your browser cache will resolve the problem immediately and reliably.

TransparentShare is not loading: Clear your browser cache in every browser.

Here are the steps for the most common browsers. Short, concise, without technical jargon.

Google Chrome:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or. Cmd + Shift + Del (Mac).
  • A window will open. Under "Time period", select "Entire time period".
  • Enable "Cached images and files" and click on "Clear browsing data".
  • Then reload TransparentShare.

Mozilla Firefox:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
  • A new window will open. Activate the "Cache" option and click "Clear now".
  • Alternatively: Open the "History" menu, select "Clear Recent History", activate and delete the cache.

Microsoft Edge:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
  • Select "Cached data and files" and click "Delete".
  • Alternatively: Click on the three dots in the top right corner, go to "Settings", then "Clear browsing data" and select "Cached data and files".

Internet Explorer (IE9, IE10, IE11):

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
  • Select „Temporary Internet Files“ and click „Delete“.
  • Alternatively: Gear icon in the top right corner, "Internet Options", "General" tab, then "Delete" in the "Browsing history" section.

Apple Safari:

  • Press Cmd + Alt + E.
  • Alternatively: In the "Safari" menu, click "Clear History," select the time period "since installation," and click "Clear History." Then restart TransparentShare.

Opera:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete.
  • Select the time period "since installation".
  • Enable "Browsing history", "Download history", "Cookies and other website data" and "Cached images and files".
  • Click on "Clear browsing data" below.

After clearing the cache, simply restart TransparentShare. The blank screen should be gone.

Conclusion and next step

A blank screen in TransparentShare is annoying, but nothing to worry about. In most cases, clearing your browser cache is all it takes for the app to work perfectly again. Easy to follow from start to finish, no technical expertise required.
